For Sale or Trade:
My 2002 Subaru WRX
185,000 miles, World Rally Blue bugeye. Located in Southern California,
Los Angeles area. Had it since 2005, has been
my daily driver, and been a good fun problem-free car as well.
I've driven it up and down the entire west coast from San Diego
to Seattle, and it has never given me any trouble. It's easy to drive,
fairly comfortable, quick enough, and looks like a rally car.
Just need to let it go to a new home so I can switch to a
wagon. List of stuff installed and pics are below the description.
Asking $8,000 OBO or would like to trade for 1999/2000 BMW 5-series
Station Wagon (E39 Touring)
Other station wagons considered, but I'd prefer an E39.
I'd also probably take an Audi R8. Hey, worth a try right?
I've done a lot of little upgrades over the years, which tightened up
the car, but it's never been abused. Still has the original
transmission, has had redline lightweight shockproof (the blue stuff)
since I've owned it with no problems. Stock engine, the only changes
have been a Prodrive muffler, Prova reusable air filter, a
ported turbo for slightly quicker spool-up, and a gutted up-pipe, which
was done mainly to keep the cat from disintegrating into the turbo.
Other than that, no other engine modifications or "tuning" to
run above stock boost. Clutch was replaced at around 120,000 miles to
an ACT unit, and timing belt was changed to a GReddy belt at around
100,000 miles. Water pump and tensioner changed at the same time. I had
coilovers on the car most of the time I owned it, but I've put the
stock suspension back on. Everything works, including the A/C, heater,
and eBay power mirrors. I had to install those because some kid thought
it would be really cool to break all the car mirrors on my block one
night.
It has a Kenwood touchscreen headunit which plays DVDs and has an ipod
connection and remote, and Kenwood speakers all around. Also
has a custom sub box which tucks neatly into the driver's side trunk
corner.
In addition, it has the following installed, which as I mentioned,
tightened up the car a bit and made it more fun to drive everyday
without compromising it's driveability or overall comfort. It's a long
list, but all these little things added up to a make it a nice little
daily driver.
